💸 Stop spending money on AI credits! Translate your content using a self-hosted LLM

Gato AI Translations for Polylang v17.1 adds support for self-hosted LLMs. Run your own model (e.g. with Ollama) and translate content without spending on AI API credits.

Use your own LLM to translate

You can point the plugin at any HTTP endpoint that speaks the ChatGPT or Claude API format. Install Ollama on your machine, then pull the translategemma model for translation (the more parameters, the better the translation).

You can also use Ollama Cloud if you prefer not to self-host.

Configure it under Settings > Service Configuration > Self-hosted LLM:

Read more in detail in the guide Using a self-hosted LLM.
